Hair is a Symbol of Femininity

My name is Hannah Wheeler and my passion in life to teach young ladies how they can be a Shining Sister for Christ! I am finishing up my Associates in Cosmetology and with this degree my goal is to give each client confidence in their inner and outer beauty. We are all created in God’s image and with that comes great responsibility. Are you showing off God’s image in a pleasing way?

*Being a modest woman does not just include the styles of clothes you wear. It includes the way your care for your body, your attitude, and most of all what is in your heart.

1 Timothy 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Modesty in Hair:

Your hair is a symbol of your femininity. It is the crown that you wear daily. On that note, make sure you are keeping your hair looking fresh, clean, and fixed nicely. You are a temple of God and it is important that you present yourself in a way that God would be pleased.

Now you may be one of those girls that wakes up extra early to primp and get ready for your day! You spend hours slapping makeup on and making sure each hair is in place, but is the inside clean, neat, and in place as well? Is your mind filled with godly thoughts or worldly ideas? People say, “Knowledge is Power!” The statement is true but depends on the type of knowledge you are taking in. The more you study the Bible and pray the closer your walk with the Master will be!

What does it mean to have a fresh, clean, and fixed mind?

FRESH– Keep yourself read up and prayed up!

Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

CLEAN– Block out the noise of the world, and cast out evil thoughts Satan is trying to fill your mind with!

2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”

FIXED– Having a mind completely focused and filtered! Fixing your eyes on the path Christ has laid before you!

Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ.”

My Hair:

Here is a video of a hairstyle that is quick and easy! If you wake up late for school and still want to look half put together you can throw your hair into this cute style. It is loose, fun, and great when your hair is not super clean!

  1. God bless you sister! I have read books on femininity such as ‘Fascinating Womanhood’ and ‘Fascinating Girl.’ As well as reading ‘Man of Steel and Velvet’ for men which I base my life and poetry off of all these books. Peace be to you!
