The Colors of Autumn:
Fall Trend Alert 2016
As the seasons change from sun-kissed warmth to crisp autumn air we can’t help but feel our need to change our style to fit with the season. As the leaves fall to the ground and pumpkin everything begins the trends in makeup and clothing take on more of a deeper and layered look. The makeup look of fall 2016 contrasts dark and light as eye palettes play a more natural role while eyeliner and lipstick take center stage.
“She speaks with wisdom,
And faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
STEP BY STEP:
Eyeliner. Line bottom lashes underneath the eye. This season is all about dark liner; so choosing a brown or a black liner will be the
foundation of the look. Line the bottom of the eye and rub eye shadow primer on your eyelid. (This will help your shadow stay in place for longer periods.)
It’s all about neutrals when it comes to eye shadow. Choose a light color as the base shadow. I am mixing a cream and light brown shadow together for the base color and a dark brown with a brown shimmer for the outside color. When working with eye shadow use the lightest shades inside of the eye and work outward with the darker shades.
**Blending eye shadow is really important. You can blend colors together with either a fluffy tipped brush or a Q-tip.**
Step Four: Add Liner to the top of your eyelid closest to your lashes, than apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
Step Five: Lips. This is the pinnacle of the look with such a neutral eye the lips are really what make this look pop! This season is about being bold in your lip color. So if we are going to have such fabulous kissers let’s make our words match our pretty
mouths. “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ.” (Eph 4:15)
Have fun with your color choices and palettes! I am pairing this look with a cream long sleeved waffle shirt, some distressed skinny jeans and a floral maroon scarf!
